Proverb 1:1 The proverbs of Solomon, son of David and King of Israel.
Solomon is the wisest king the world has ever had. This is God's answer to his prayer asking for wisdom for him to rule the people of God. God was pleased with this so He gave him more than wisdom. He got also riches from all over the world.
This is the man who wrote down these proverbs or wise sayings. His wisdom surpasses the learned in all the land. His sayings reached down to lots of generations even our generation.
In our times when confusion and chaos are rampant, when you don't know where to get the best and truthful advice, it is time to reach out to Solomon's proverbs. Personally, this book in the Bible is my eye-opener to truths which are very applicable and practical even in our times. We don't have to experience the pain of wrong choices if only we can see the wisdom in these verses.
A proverb a day, keeps a soul at bay!
