Remember: The Turtle Wins The Race!

"Money gained quickly will vanish as quickly; money earned little by little will increase." - Proverbs

We've been told this story before. The fastest is not always the winner at the end. Talking about races--- on the tracks, in the office, or life, the most intelligent or most popular may not finish it great.

Let us focus most especially in our race for the money! How many jobs do most people hold or how long do people keep at on their jobs just to get enough of the seeming increasing need for money. What does the financial market offer? There are many 'other options' attracting the daring investor inside of us. You can name them; I don't have to. These possible sources of secondary income streams must be evaluated or one will fall into the trap of schemers.

To determine which income generating opportunities to participate, the wisest King Solomon has already given us a clue. Translating this clue into modern day language reads:

"Avoid get-rich-quick schemes. They'll be here today, gone with your money tomorrow. Go for that which builds up little by little, increasing your personal capacity daily to hold big money tomorrow. Start with something small which you can work on to become bigtime. "

In the end, it is not about a race of time but a race to how well we finish this one life we live. Slow but steady wins the race.

Solomon's Advice - The Wisest in the World Ever

Proverb 1:1 The proverbs of Solomon, son of David and King of Israel.

Solomon is the wisest king the world has ever had. This is God's answer to his prayer asking for wisdom for him to rule the people of God. God was pleased with this so He gave him more than wisdom. He got also riches from all over the world.

This is the man who wrote down these proverbs or wise sayings. His wisdom surpasses the learned in all the land. His sayings reached down to lots of generations even our generation.

In our times when confusion and chaos are rampant, when you don't know where to get the best and truthful advice, it is time to reach out to Solomon's proverbs. Personally, this book in the Bible is my eye-opener to truths which are very applicable and practical even in our times. We don't have to experience the pain of wrong choices if only we can see the wisdom in these verses.

A proverb a day, keeps a soul at bay!
